Every student deserves to start the school year ready to learn.
United Way of Greenville County's School Tools program returns on August 1, 2026, with a goal of providing fully stocked backpacks to more than 3,000 Greenville County students.
To help make this distribution possible, volunteers are needed in the days leading up to the event to pack backpacks with grade-appropriate school supplies for elementary, middle, and high school students.
During this 2-hour volunteer opportunity, participants will work as a team to assemble backpacks, organize supplies, and prepare completed backpacks for distribution on August 1. No special skills are required—just a desire to help local students start the school year prepared and ready to succeed.
