HOG 2024: The 500 Kids Project - First Aid Training Event

The 500 Kids Project is providing free First Aid and CPR training, and we are looking for volunteers to help with our Hands on Greenville Day Training Event!

The mission of the 500 Kids Project is to provide 500+ kids and young adults First Aid training free of charge. Last year in 2023, we held 7 Events, provided training for 200+ Children, 75+ Adults, and provided free Training with Certifications for 15+ Students. We are launching our 2024 Events with Hands on Greenville Day 2024 at Northside Park in Greenville!

FAQs

1. What can I expect? 5KP Volunteers supervise and assist with First Aid activities. No professional experienced required but encouraged First Aid, Healthcare, or Education Experience.

2. What should I wear? Dress comfortably. It will be a spring day in the park. 

3. What should I bring? No need to bring anything, just yourself!

4. What's provided? All training, activity, and event supplies will all be provided. Bottled water will be provided for everyone as needed.

5. How do I get there? Northside Park is located at 101 West Darby Road, Greenville, SC 29609; It is located east of Paris Mountain State Park.

6. My activity is outdoors. What do I do if the weather is bad? The Event has reserved a Large Shelter, and will proceed in case of rain; If there is a storm advisory, the event may be canceled.

8. Any additional supplies or tools needed from volunteers? No tools or supplies are needed from our volunteers.

9. Who is doing the First Aid Training portion of the event? The event is sponsored by The 500 Foundation (The500Foundation.org)

10. Does this Training Event include Certifications? There will not be certifications offered for the Hands on Greenville Day Event, but there will be free certifications offered at future 5KPGVL Events in Summer 2024.

There are restrooms onsite.
