Sort Creative Treasures at ReCraft
Help us get reusable materials into the hands of creative crafters!
Your community service allows ReCraft to get donated materials to the public quickly and at lowest possible cost. Materials donated to us include arts and crafts, fabric and fiber, and classroom supplies.
- Sort donations into creative reuse categories
- Make our shop look magical and organized
- Stock our bulk section and makerspace
- Pose for pictures when you find insta-worthy treasures
Why do we love volunteers? Volunteers make creative reuse possible in Greenville. You give our shop personality and expand our community.
What's provided? Music, snacks, and fantastic company.
What should I bring? Closed-toed shoes and a reusable water bottle. When you arrive, come to the register for a quick orientation.
Can I earn service hours? Yes! We welcome youth volunteers age 12+ (with a supervising adult on site) or 16+ (unaccompanied). If you have difficulty registering minors on this site, please sign up a "sponsoring" adult and email volunteer@recraftgvl.org with details.
Can I earn LOTS of service hours? ReCraft is set up really well for recurring volunteers. If you think you'll want to commit to more hours, email volunteer@recraftgvl.org. We'll work with you and make it easy to fulfill your service hours.
Can I volunteer with a larger group? Absolutely! ReCraft has great opportunities for groups up to 12 people. Please email volunteer@recraftgvl.org with a quick description of your group and possible dates (3+ weeks in advance).
Are shift hours flexible? Orientations are at 10:30 and 2:30 and 3-hour shifts generally work well. We offer more flexibility for returning volunteers who have been able to work independently. Please email volunteer@recraftgvl.org if you're interested in becoming a recurring volunteer.
